Folks I had a message from Alex this morning, he is back in hospital, due to kidney failure. He is very weak, and unable to do anything astro wise (despite finally receiving his HA filter), he still reads IIS but is not up to posting.. Please keep Alex in your thoughts and send him positive support from the IIS community. Glen

Thanks Glen but mustered some strength and posted a question for Mike.
I tell you being able to follow the chat here helps me more than anyone can know.
Thanks.

Thank you all most sincerely...it is getting hard to go on to be honest and coming here represents most of all I have to look forward to...was expecting a visit yesterday from my Ex ( best Ex on the planet, my carer without whom I would be dead for sure) and my daughter, my youngest scientific and an absolute pride over the older "alternate medicine " older one who I would happily disown...but the hospital doors were closed to all but family whose loved ones were dying..so no visit..they only fond out at the door, so called me, so close but so far...how I missed that visit..I was crushed to be honest...but came here to IIS and was really picked up ... had a few tears actually cause I was just so down...so thank you all.
But I am getting better, two scans yesterday, kidneys are good, and I am eating some solid food, first in months...Funny story ..the guy in the next bed was having a massive heart attack, nurses came from every where ..mustta been 7, bumping my bed keeping me awake...the patient is screaming in agony, I mean screaming...so the "head" nurse asks him in a very demanding authoritive voice "Dxxxxx are you in any pain?"..I nearly yelled out " no, he is laughing at your comedy act"...

But after 20 minutes later the concensus was to call the doctor...I guess I am strange but I thought it was all rather funny...and I say that cause the guy survived.

Leon...matey may or may not have posted lap top..cant bother him..poor devil just found out his brother has about four weeks ..brain cancer...anyways we shall refer to Alice.
Bojan I really would like some time together.
...

You must laugh...
So they put me in the shower...about 30 minutes go by and I am enjoying such a long shower..mmm better save water so press the "nurse button"...and keep on enjoying the nice water...after another say 45 minutes I wonder did the button work? ...so press it again and again until finally someone opens the door and asks " what are you doing here?"...trying to get out I answer...well what do you need? ..er like help drying, dressing, standing up and help back to bed..."ok"... Get back into bed and my pillow has disappeared.. nurse says she will go find one...45 minutes later she must have been still looking for one ...the other nurse comes in and goes and gets one...I think I could star in a movie "The World's most forgettable character"...
But man do I feel relaxed.

I try to avoid them.
Although just now (she just left) I had a most pleasant 30 minutes with the medical student??? who came to put in new plumbing in my arm for some fluids. She could not find the vein and so I asked if we could avoid doing it..she went to see her boss..however we got talking about astronomy, molecular biology, art and music...and had such an enjoyable chat..
Anyways dont need the new plumbing if I drink lots...

Thanks gentlemen it is so nice to read your posts when I get here.
Well good news...mmm maybe ..carer did not seem overjoyed to get me back home:D, which given the care I require you can understand...but they are lndeed sending me home and say my kidneys are good, the infection in my tummy wound is near gone and all is ok...plus putting on a little weight..dropped from 14-5 stone to 10-5 stone in a couple of months which was a worry..having solid food ..first in months...:thumbsup::thumb sup:
But if I can pull up at 11 stone I will be very happy because my legs wont have the strain they had before...and my mates brother..they operated yesterday got 3 out and they now think there is hope so I am very happy he at least has a chance ..a week ago they said it was hopeless...were not even going to operate..but they did.

Thanks again.
