Hi All,
I have been give the go-ahead to put in a small (1500(L)x1500(W)x1300(H)) shed with a removable roof for keeping my setup permanently outside.
Due to the limited space I have in the shed, I wanted to explore the idea of replacing my tripod mount (skywatcher nEQ6) with either a skywatcher NEQ6 Pier Tripod or similar or even go down the path of bolting a steel pier to the concrete flooring.
Factors that will play a part in my decision:
1) cost (bang-for-buck)
2) stability for future scopes. Currently have an 8" sct and ed80, but looking at the skywatcher Quattro 250 Newtonian... not sure if this will fit in the shed though
3) Suitable/stable for AP work
4) Practicality
I would love to hear of anyone with experience or has been contemplating the above.
Cheers
Wayne
