Hi All
I have a sky guider pro that I am operating right on the weight limit ie 5kg which could be the root cause of all this but I'm asking anyway.

See attached photo the tracking has a major glitch every 520sec or so which looks to be something like 1 rev of the pinion gears driving the belt or the worm gear. There doesn't seem to be any obvious backlash in the worm gear but there certainly is plenty of backlash in the small reduction gearbox attached to the motor.

Is this just going to be something I have to put up with. Currently I'm dropping about 30% of my subs.

I think tightening the tension on the belt is the only thing that is reasonable for me to adjust.
I am planning a tracking mount upgrade to a HEQ5 or similar but in the mean time if there is something simple to try it would be helpful.

Can you post image to forum. It needs a google account to view.

Not sure I understand that. I looked at the link in private/incognito mode in both chrome and brave and it worked. No account seems to be required. Can anyone else advise on this?

Might be me. But it asks to sign into a google account.
