Ta perkele. Crazy year, more to come. Still breathing at least and the best telescope I’ve ever looked through at home…

Since many a fine scope has passed through your hands can you detail what scope this would be? Trying to keep up and the last scope I believe you owned was the FSQ-85 but that is more an astrograph ... so what pray tell could this mystical scope be that has swooned thy peepers so much?
Θα σε κάνω σουβλάκι Λούις.
That's Happy Birthday in Greek Lewis.

Honestly, it'll be surprising, but perhaps not considering it is considered Tak's best ever, and that says something. The diminutive yet uber-perfect FOA-60/60Q.
Without question the best lunar and planetary views I have ever seen, and that's comparing it to the likes of TOA-130's and AP's. Jovian banding was absolutely incredible with a 26mm EP at f/15 or a 12mm at f/8.8. Jewel Box is easily discernable stellar colour variations but where it really excels better than any other I have used because of its recorded 0.99 Strehl is splitting doubles even at low mag. My first target with it was A-Cent, and the split was so easy with zero light blend between the two. A-crux was the same. And a host of other harder doubles. Like car headlights. Plus ZERO CA whatsoever - not even a hint, even on the lunar limb at f/8.8 (let alone f/15).
Im going to have a crack imaging with it, but to be honest so enjoying the visual views. I've never been one to look at DSO's visually as no matter what scope it is underwhelming, so I'll stick with the Moon and planets plus some open clusters. Imaging will be galaxies and planetary nebulae as that is what the longer FL will be great for, matched to it's perfect optics.
Many get aperture fever, I get the inverse.

Thanks all.
Nik, Andrew suggests he skewers me - isn't that harrassment? :P

Burn his kebab indeed
Oh, I'm so embarrassed, for some reason my Google translate stuffed up Lew, please accept my apology. :ashamed:
I meant to write:
Θα σε κάνω στιφάδο.
 Matt
Surely he's only putting numbered candles on his cake???

I put a road flare on my cake. Eyesight slowly returning but smoke lingering. Airport fire brigade foamed the place.
Worked 10 hrs today, came home and played with the kids. Throwing a glider with my daughter and it ends up in the tallest grey gum around. :( Time to get another off eBay :) Half a bottle of Rolf Binder Cab Sav and I'm off to bed figuring what to buy online with all the giftcards I got.
And happy birthday too Morton!
