Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to find out what the tread sizes are for the main and locking collimation bolts on the GSO Dobs. I believe they are the same as the Lightbridge scopes (is that correct?) but I don't know what these are either.

I think they are M7 thread for the main and M6 for the locking. Does anyone know if this is correct?

Also do all the different sized GSO dobs use the same collimation bolts?

I am trying to source knobs like "bob's knobs" direct from knob manufacturers and therefore much cheaper. If I succeed I might be putting together a pack for aussie astronomers.

Cheers

Dave.

AOL.
Anyone know for sure what the GSO/LB thread sizes are?
I believe the secondary ones are 4mm, and the main adjusters measure at 6.93mm, so I gather that's 7mm. I guess they're all metric, in which case they must be 4's, 6's and 7's.

Cheers,
Jason.

Yes, the secondary tilt adjustment screws are M4 - same as standard screws to put knobs on cupboard doors.
