NGC 253 Sculptor ( Silver Coin) Galaxy

Discovered by Caroline Herschel in 1783 the Sculptor or sometimes referred to as the Silver Coin galaxy is a spiral galaxy located at distance of around 12 million light years
At magnitude 8 this galaxy appears quite bright on live view with my 2600MC and 8” newt
Captured over 2 nights ( due to starting late waiting for the object to rise above 40 degrees to get some stable atmosphere)

EQ6-R mount
ZWOASI2600MC set in Ascom at Highest Dynamic Range Gain 0 cooled to -10C
No filters
65 x 3 minute dithered guided subs
Tracking and Goto EQMOD and Ascom Stellarium
Captured in APT
PHD2 Multistar guiding at 0.80 arc sec error total
Subs reviewed in Astap
Stacked in DSS
Processed in Startools V1.7 OSC Linear data set RGB

I don’t think adding more data will improve the detail in the arms or core
I think it’s more that my humble equipment limits the ability to resolve deeper detail
1000mm focal length is not exactly a galaxy hunter but I try my best to give them all a whirl
Now a 10” newt might be a tad better, together with a better mount and a good stable evening

Really enjoying AP now that I have my NexDome under Bortle 3/4 skies and the 2600MC OSC is a really good camera , super low noise , super dynamic range and a versatile FOV for my rig . I don’t think I’ve ever heard a negative comment about the 2600MC or the 2600MM for that matter
