Or should that be Saturn-day night? :D

Forecast wasn't looking too promising last night, but having already missed Saturn's opposition, I figured I needed to get practicing again.

As it turned out, the seeing wasn't too bad, in bursts. I managed to get about 5 minutes of each of these gas balls that looked like it was worth keeping.

The GRS appears to have faded since last year, although to keep us keen there is more activity in several of the (lighter) zones, and some good sized barges in the north.

Saturn is much more of a struggle with a "small" scope, being so much further away requiring substantially more gain and a dollop of drizzle in processing. I was hoping to observe the Seeliger ring brightening effect but the weather up here had been conspiring against me

Gear: Celestron Edge HD 11", ZWO ASI426MC, WO Barlow.

Excellent images, lovely crisp detail, nicely captured. Yes, the Red Spot does seem a bit more pale than last year but seems slightly larger, not to mention the changes in the cloud belts.
