Nice job Bob[I'm a poet and didn't know it]. Good extension tubes that
connect properly with the electronics, and don't introduce any tilt, are a very useful tool to have in your bag.

Thnx Ray, the extensions are branded 'Kenko' with the electronic connectors, 12mm, 20mm & 36mm, can stack them aswell but havent found it well useful yet, the 70-200 gives plenty of variability and its really sharp when nail the focus.

You just found the 36 useful. I have a pair of Kenko screw on lens, one
0.5x widefield, and a 2x tele. Both are pretty good for daytime work, but
useless for night work, as the CA is dreadful.

The 70-200 2.8L has always been known to be a excellent lens ... and it shows.

I see, yeah night will test any lens thats for sure.
I also use the 20 at times, but the 12 rarely if at all. I meant not useful in 'Stacking' them, say the 20mm with the 36, you end up hitting the subject with the glass :rolleyes:


Thnx JA, It is top glass, a Legendary Lens, I got the non IS version, saved near a grand, guess some need the stabilization, maybe when i'm older and shaky :shrug:

I've got some great hand held pin sharp lunar shots with my 250mm I.S.
