For a project this year I thought I would take pictures of the Sun in early January and early July near the times of Perihelion and Aphelion to show the difference in the size of the Sun when Earth is closest and furthest in its orbit.

Same camera & setup etc.

If your interested, for 2021
Date of Perihelion was Jan 3 12.50am distance 147,093,163 km
Date of Aphelion is July 6 8.27am distance 152,100,527 km

Wow that's an excellent comparison Richard.
Also a quiet Sun on the left with a much more active one on the right. :thumbsup:

Farr out, Never seen that before now, always done to the Moon and the Ring tilt on Saturn, but this is new to me, Top Suff Richard, grouse details aswell :cool:
