Hi All.

Just a general question, I have my Observatory connected to a heavy power extension lead which i plug in when needed.

This lead powers all the bits and pieces, like two 12 volt regulated power supplies, plus all the other lights etc, also the lappy is plugged in.

Anyway, last night everything was turned off, at the main switch, but was still plugged in to the main lead, and i experienced a electrical tingling sensation when i touched the Dew Buster Controller lead, which feeds the heater strap.

I totally pulled the main lead and touched the other lead again, the sensation was gone.

Has anyone experienced this before, and if so what would be the fix solution please.

Cheers Leon

Speaking from a 'Sparks' perspective Leon. I would suggest you get a 'Spark' in to check, just to make sure.
It could be anything. Damn hard, (sight unseen).
Might be the frequency? of your dew heater but IT should not give you a tingle. (Voltage is too low). I take it, that IT IS running off 12 Volts???
One thing you may want to install, if not already, is an 'Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker'. These devices will protect against all possible faults. They can be bought as a 'Plug in' as well. Place it before your heavy extension lead.
Can't help much more Leon.
Get an electrician in..
