A bit of luck today saw a clear patch in the noon sky for a few minutes - I was able to capture two images of the Sun's southern sector showing two active regions (numbered). The orange image is at Ha wavelength with a Lunt 100 Ha scope, the yellow image is at 540 nm thru a WO 81 mm scope. Both images are single exposures with a Canon 550d camera.

Thanks for viewing.

Nice shots John. Good to see that you got some of the Sun.

Well done, John.
I got one CaK before technical issues stopped play....

Pretty good for single shots John. Could you tell me which yellow 540nm filter that you used and the type of white light filter used too?

Dave,
I use a Baader Herschel wedge with a Continuum filter 540 nm (narrowband). No other filter - I don't do white light. Cheers, John W.
