View Full Version here: : Omega Centauri
Hi all, I was experimenting with some new drizzle settings in Envisage by way of inceasing the image size and reducing the pixel size and imaged an old favourite.
Image was taken in Alt/Az with the LX200R and DSI II Pro with the f/3.3 FR attached.
The image is a stack of 120 images @ 1 second each and processed in MaximDL.
The mainobjective was to reduce the star bloat which I think I have achieved.

Very impressive image of Omega Centauri for such short exposures and using an Alt-Az mount. You're really doing some good stuff with this combo.

Very nice image, Ric
What were the drizzle settings you played around with?
Thanks all for your comments, they are always appreciated.
Eric, I actually find that have better results in Drizzle than in Deep Sky mode.
Mark, the setting in the popup Drizzle settings from top to bottom are
2.0
1.0
0.8
the bottom one is the pixel setting but I cant remember the other two at the moment.

Thanks Ric,
next time I'm using the DSI I'll give it a try myself :)
Anything to help reduce the star bloat during imaging and not later in processing sounds like a good thing...
Nice effort Ric, I must try Omega, soon, it would have to be the best globular around.

Thanks Leon, after nearly 12 months in the imaging game I finally think that things are falling into place a bit easier these days.
