This is a 7 panel mosaic I shot in January, end of March and early April with the FSQ106N/QHY9 and a zwo duoband filter. 35x300s for the center and about 20x600s each for the periphery. Seeing was ok for most of them but the bottom center and illumination difference with moon and others over the period it was captured so no perfect seams.
Obviously had to flatten the dynamic range a little over the whole field so the center is not too blown out while still showing outer field nebulosity.
I've added two little insets that might be planetary nebs which I haven't chased up yet to identify. See if you can find them in the 1:1 mosaic.
1:1 [7588x6490 - 24.7MB] (http://www.astropic.net/astro/Carina_FSQ106N_duo_121.jpg)
50% [3794x3245 - 8.4MB] (http://www.astropic.net/astro/Carina_FSQ106N_duo_50pc.jpg)
HD [1920x1642 - 2.3MB] (http://www.astropic.net/astro/Carina_FSQ106N_duo_HD.jpg)
Enjoy the views.

You mentioned the moon, what effect does this have on the dual band filter ?
I can’t see any seams on the 50% version

It does affect the Oiii channel. Depending on transparency and humidity the sky tends to light up as well here because of LP so you quickly get gradients based on altitude. I guess I know where the seams are so I can't unsee them. :)
Superb Mosaic Marc - It's a real revelation: as if I can see/notice new things in the nebula .... Well Done

Great work! Very enjoyable scanning through the full res version. So much detail to take in. Didn’t even notice the seams tbh

Great work Marc, the heat and humidity up here at higher latitudes does have an affect..

Thanks JA. Yeah mosaics with a bit of resolution are great to pan around.
Thanks Rodney.
Thanks Dave. There are a few issues and one panel that I wanted to reshoot completely but other things got in the way and I haven't had the time.
Thanks mate. Not so much humidity here by LP latches on anything that affects transparency.

If you use astropixel processor you can eliminate those seams using LNC x2 or 3, you can tune it to see, worked well for my Dragon shot where I used 2 different focal lengths. From 2 different nights.

The main issue is that I minimised the overlap by deleting parts of the bad panel to force the autoblend in PS on using the good ones. The result is a marked boundary because of the difference in noise and brightness/contrast. I'm not familiar with APP but will give it a go.

Great detail in the high-res and some nice, wispy extensions.
Didn't have the patience to track down the suspected PNs though!
