View Full Version here: : Taks First light.
Hi Guys.
Well, although i have only used the Takahashi 106 twice for imaging this is it's first light, yea I know your sick of Eta, but i thought i would show you any way.
As I'm only learning this set-up, there were no darks, other than camera in house, and no lights at all, just combined 16 images at 1min 20sec's each, and used Image Plus digital development to freshen it up a bit.
Really just practicing a bit at the moment, hope to improve in the future.
Cheers Leon
Beautiful. You're making me jealous.

Excellent image of one of my favourite celestial jewels of the beautiful Southern skies. Even better considering it’s a 1st light effort!
Cheers

Nice one Leon:thumbsup:,
pin point stars to the periphery as one would expect from the FSQ106...
These scopes are truly great refractors for todays large chip cameras.
Lots of great images to be had with this little beauty.
Cheers

Leon.
I have to say you really have taken some rather big steps forward with the imaging of late.
Well done:thumbsup:
Thanks Matt, yep, I think it is coming together quite well, got a fair way to go to catch the masters, but that's OK, at least I'm having a ball.
Leon
I'd say be very happy with where you are right now:)
They are very nice pics and you should be justifiably proud.
Unless you really want to catch up to the 'masters'?
Yes I am very happy Matt, with the results, and i think that really matters, sometimes i suppose we get a bit carried away and lose sight of the real picture.
Cheers Leon

Sorry to be late but up North line speed does not let me see everything real fast..
I only now had a look Leon, I have been wondering how it would go for you. Looks a great result I can imagine a larger version.
I think you have made an excellent choice with your scope and mount combination.
