Nikon D600 with a Skywatcher 8"

I need some help with equipment I need to do astrophotography.

I have recently purchased this T Ring Adapter:

I connected my Nikon D600 to this and straight into my telescope (1.25"). I then used the focus knob and tried to even get a pic of the moon and it was too blurry.

I then used by 2" Barlow and I could get a clearer pic but it was still a little blurry.

Firstly, am I missing something or doing something wrong?

Next, I want to use my Plossl eyepieces with my camera. I see two different types of adapters:

Is variable a better option?

Is that example what I need for my specific telescope?

Hello,

This sounds like you dont have enough back focus. Have a read of this

I too have a D600 and love it for astrophotography.

If your rings/connections are M42, I highly recommend to switch to DX (APS-C) mode. Dont use the 1.25 nose adapters.... they are pointless on these camera.

If your using 2"/M48 adapters you can use full frame.

All Skywatcher Newts will come to focus with a DSLR. The focuser will be racked out about 11-12mm when focused. You don't need any adaptor other than a T-ring. If you unscrew the eyepiece holder and the plate it screws into as one piece from the large ring that fits into the focuser, you will reveal a female thread. The T-ring screws into the thread, and you are ready to go. If you loosen the chrome knurled knobs that secure the large ring in the focuser tube you can rotate the camera to your desired position.
I suggest you learn how to use your scope at prime focus before trying eyepiece projection; one step at a time.

I am a real newbie to this. So I think its a M42.

My scope can do 1.25 or 2" but my T ring adapter is 1.25".

I can see that I can put the T ring straight in avoiding 1.25". I will try that now. I wont be able to use a barlow though.
