I live in brisbane and I'm wanting to buy a 1/4 sheet of Ebont star which should me more than enough to do 3 dob bases.

This costs $130. So if anyone would like to buy 1/3 of this sheet with me we can share the cost. This makes it around $45 per person.

I have investigated other possible laminates and come to the conclusion True willson Art "50" texture laminate is the best as it is both bumpy and smooth (glossy) unlike most other textured laminates which tend to be much rougher.

I have tested other laminates and they are not nearly as slipery on teflon.

So who's up for it?

I could also post a portion however this may not be as economical.

Cheers
Dave.

Yes, postage to Melbourne - relatively bulky and fragile? Probably not the best. I'm still to check the Melb suppliers as recommended by others.

I'm an interested Melbourne buyer also. Happy to split the cost if we end up with a huge sheet of the stuff :)

If there is more than one person interested in Melbourne I would imagine it would be cheaper to buy down there.

But if not I could look into postage costs.

Doug, yes I'm interested. Haven't had the time to check this Ringwood place that has some experience of supplying Dob-sized offcuts. Cannot do anything for a few weeks, however - busy and away off and on. Eric

I'll check it out in a couple of weeks time when I can get over there. Will report back!
