Basic manual mount+tripod

Hi,

I'm looking for a basic mount and tripod that I can use with my Orion 80mm fatboy tube. Just to look at the moon with the kids etc.

Something like the Skywatcher AZ3 would be perfect.

I'm in Sydney, Northern Beaches.

Hi, have a Saxon Alzumith mount from an 80mm Scope, $75--, may need a wedge with it, $29 from Bintel, will have to check if I hsave a spare wedge.

But am up in NNSW, near the QLD border.

One tripod leg clamp has been repaired with Arildite -- the plastic had broken by overtightening by previous owner. Replacing it with an EQ5 on a surveyors tripod, once I make the adapters for this new tripod.

The 80mm Saxon will be put piggy back onto my C925,

Need a 2 inch diagonal, and or a 2 inch Nebula filter so would swap for one. Otherwise money from the sale of this mount will go towards a purchase of one of these.

Thanks John. At this point another fellow has kindly messaged me saying they have one they can sell me in Sydney. However if that falls through I'll let you know.

I must say I am extremely jealous of your C925. I had to sell my C8 recently and miss it badly. Best of luck with the build!
