This is one I took a while ago. I tried to capture the wider field with some interesting nebula in the LMC whilst still including the Tarantula Nebula.

Proline 16803, AP RHA 305, PME.

Hi Greg

Just wondering when you say HaO111 RGB, how is it mapped?
Do you add Ha to the red channel and O3 to the blue?

Had a good surf by the way :thumbsup:

You’re sowing some seeds of interest here, I like the ring nebula 2/3 up on the far left, does it have an NGC number?

NGC2030;

It looks like a ghost hooning around.

It’s a great area of the sky to wander around Greg. Lots of wonderful stuff happening. Thanks for sharing :thumbsup:

Thanks Russ. It has minimal processing I think that helps the stars unless you remove them and add them back in later.

Thanks for that. It is a treasure trove of imaging objects.

Thanks Scott. The big 16803 is not yet easily replaced by CMOS. Its still got that big field of view.

Excellent image.

That RHA is truly an exceptional instrument.

Yes it's definitely rich. $$$:D

I'd really love to see a tight shot of the bubble type feature on the bottom left of your image on its own. I looked on Stellarium and found it, but there is no catalogue number that I can find, just that it is near HIP 26995, if i've got the right bubble that is. If you are looking for something new to image it might make a killer image set on its own against a dark background. Maybe you can see it better in your higher res data as to whether it's worth chasing that bubble feature on its own at higher focal length or cropping ... or not:D:D:D.

You absolutely ACED it Greg - well done superb result:thumbsup:

Something really funny - I had to laugh. I was going to suggest to you based on looking at it in Stellarium that a tight shot around 3000mm equivalent full frame would be good, but then thought that too presumptuous of me so didn't include that comment only to read later in your image text that you used a CDK 17 planewave, which when I looked it up was listed with a 2939mm focal length .... Heheheheheee:D:D:D

Really nice wide field Greg. The RHA and 16803 is a great combo. My favourite is NGC2020 on the left 👍
