OK, so I have this Creative Zen Vision W which I take around for showing photo's and listening to music, doing slideshows and stuff too.

It has a LCD on it (4.3") .. I'm quite paranoid about putting too much preasure on it, so take careful care of how it's put in my backpack, where it rests, etc. Am I being too cautious? How easily can you damage a LCD with blunt and sharp "trauma" ?

I just received and installed a NavProtector screen for it. It's a thin flexible surfice which suggests it will protect from scratches and smudges but not impacts.

I'm kind of surprised the screen doesn't have a hard perspecs type sheet infront of it, as part of the unit.

Fragile is the word that springs to mind! I would protect the screen from any flexing and any contact with sharp or blunt objects.

Cheers

I am surprised it doesn't have some sort of fold away protective screen. My iPAQ has a protective cover that folds over the back like a book.

My wifes daughter has broken several mobile phones: one was dropped onto a floor from about a metre and the LCD cracked. Her latest was doing the Zorba when she fell over and landed on her bum with the mobile in the back pocket, the LCD smashed.

Be careful with where you put it, I am also very careful with the camera too (I wish it had some sort of protection so I always put it into the soft carry case).
