Hi all,

this was from last new moon and was my first time out under dark skies with the full rig in two years. I also had a new toy to play with - a ZWO 2600MC ;)

Compared to the modded DSLR there was a very noticeable improvement in sharpness and depth. It has meant I've needed to modify my capture and processing workflow to account for the new equipment.
There's still plenty of tuning needing to be done with the new setup.

This is approximately 1.5 hours each of OSC and Ha - the latter through an Astronomik 12nm filter. All data was of course captured with the ZWO 2600MC through a Skywatcher 190mm Mak-Newt.

Hi-res version: Astrobin (https://www.astrobin.com/full/f8l4r7/0/)

Comments and CC welcome. :)

Thanks Marc!

Thanks Greg! Yep - the new breed of Sony sensors are a big jump it would appear.

I still have to tighten up my guiding ( I installed the latest version of PHD for multi-star guiding but it just wouldn't display the guide graph anywhere despite the guiding clearly working :confused2:)

I also need to ensure I nail the collimation & then work out whether I have some residual tilt. I also have to work out a better focus routine - it was shifting a bit as the night went on (due to temperature change most likely).

Lots to do!

Thanks Paul!
I always prefer images with nice star colours - (not always achievable of course!).

Thanks Clive!
Image capture is difficult for me as I live in Sydney, but I have a few more to process from my dark sky trip last month.
