NGC 5139
ASI2600MC/NEQ6/WO GT81/EQASCOM stuff.
Need to zoom in a bit Jeff.
What I can see looks pretty good though.
Pulling out all the star colours can be tricky, short exposures has helped for me, avoiding the 'full well' scenario.
Good effort

Thanks Phil ... I agree about the zoom, so I'm contemplating my next purchase to get more reach. My issue is my wallet doesn't match my wants .....

Jeff,
Depending what camera you have on board ( sensor size ) a Bintel GSO 6" f6 newt will only cost you $399 and your NGC 5139 will look like the attached photo with an APS C sensor size or close to it. This image was captured in Sydney last year with my 6" f6 GSO Bintel Newt , my old Canon 600D DSLR , Bortle 8 light polluted skies and full moon ( lots of 60 sec subs )
Don't be scared off using a 6" newt, your mount will carry it easily and collimation will be a snack at f6
I still use mine after 4 years and love it ( focal length 900mm )
Cheers
Martin
