Well although it was looking very typical to start off with, and I had almost given up by swinging for some low power imaging to the moon, the seeing improved and I quickly swung back to Jove to be rewarded with my best image so far this season.
What appears to be making the difference is that a chilled mirror to ambient using DP's experimental cooler delivers more frames of higher quality. Particularly important when re-sampling to increase image scale. So for this image, 500 frames in R,G,B have been used, which is around 40% of the total captured.
Hope others got out there this morning.
John.

That's a stunning image, John! I reckon there's even more potential hidden away in that data.
I could see it was going to be nice this morning but I was so tired from work + imaging the night before I couldn't get out again. Now you've made me wish I had! :)

Thanks for all the comments guys. Can't believe we have another 2 years of Jove high in the sky like this. Great stuff!
Mike - Happy to e-mail you some R, G, B, files (sorry but they will be post wavelets)
Attached is a version with more colour saturation and contrast that brings out some of the finer details slightly.
