what a week and a bit (Dragons, Gabriela, Lagoon)

it never rains it pours... and the last week or two it's been pouring relatively clear skies above my backyard :P

so much so in these three images alone even after tossing out quite a few subs I have around 45 hours of integration time. so we have 20hours plus on the Dragons, 15 on the Gabriela Mistral and 10 of the good ol' Lagoon.

all with the APM130 LZOS and Riccardi 0.75 reducer, ASI294mm and Antlia narrowband (3.5nm) filters.

Stacked into separate channels in APP and then processed in Startools 1.7 with final tweaks in PS.

Very impressive.

Really like the extra bit of nebula you’ve picked up to the right of the cluster in Gabriela - I certainly haven’t demonstrated that in my last RBG attempt of that region.

I’ve got some NB data to be processed - must pull my finger out.

Andy yes the dragons on it's side is a bit odd... there was some method in my madness in I wanted to elevate the little planetary to the top otherwise it doesnt get much notice... that said I do prefer the 45deg angled approaches I've seen. Next year :-)

thanks Marc, Michael and Trevor for the words of encouragement ... and Marc you don't need to retire (i'm not) ...this automatic imaging lark with nina means I set at 6 and get at the next 6 ... capture is easy these days, clear skies provided of course...it's the processing ;-)

Beautiful images. Very inspiring. Could these be achieved with a Celestron 925 and 0.7 reducer? I have not photographed the Lagoon nebula before?

Hi Peter, you can image these with the c 9 25, but even with a 0 7x reducer you will have three times the focal length I'm using here so only a small area of these can be captured.Tracking and guiding at such focal lengths will be ever more critical for a decent result. I find guiding at 585mm enough of a challenge.
