Nice one Geoff:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Interesting comparison, considering our OTAs are very similar. There is some dust/IFN in the background of both images, which may also emerge with more exposure time....but may also de-emphasise the globule(??)

Thanks Mark
Yep, it really needs a lot more exposure.

Overall it looks great but the bottom right 1/3rd looks overly red. I thought you may've added some Ha but there isn't. Is that real or a gradient in red?

Greg.

Thanks Mike

Thanks Greg. I'm not sure if its real or not. I can remove it easily with ABE/DBE, but I'll have a think about it first.

Hi Geoff a bit out of my league but wow it certainly spills over with interest. I think a side on galaxy in there as well.

Looking good Geoff! Always wanted a crack at this one from a dark site :D

Thanks Andy. This is one that would certainly benefit from a much longer exposure.

A great combination of dusty areas and reflection nebula. Makes for a fine image.

Thanks Rodney. Yes, dust always looks good. Not sure why though.

Thanks Paul, Russ and Marcus. It was a bit difficult to process with the short exposure. So often the long exposures just fall into place with the processing while the short stuff takes forever.
