Here's a photo I took a few months back of the moon. I was using a panasonic FZ2 and a Hugo National Geographic Newtonian reflector (125mm?). I darkened it up a little in Photoshop with a bit of contrast.
I made my own coupling for the camera/telescope eyepiece out of a couple of bits of wood. It's a bit risky though because, the camera lens rests right on the telescope lens.
I've seen some sites which have homemade coupling using pvc pipe. I'm just waiting to come across a piece of round pipe which is the same size as the barrel on the camera lens. It's quite large. I might measure it up and see if a soup can might work. Even if the can is a little bit large. All I would have to do is place some adjusting screws at both ends (.i.e., the camera end and the telescope lens end). It's seems to easy though. There must be a catch. Anyway, I might look into it and see what happens.:)
