Sony RX100 Mk1 ****Not Working - For Parts/Repair Only****

I don't know if I'm just being hopeful or not but, I have a Sony RX100 Mk 1 compact prosumer camera that nolonger works that I thought someone might be interested in harvesting for parts or perhaps, having a crack at repairing it.

It was a cracker camera up until recently when it developed a fault...

So..

Camera switches on but, there is a 'clunking noise' when the lens extends. Lens then retracts on it's own and a message 'turn power off then on' appears. Doing so, turns the camera off & then back on but, same thing happens.

Might be useful for parts or, repair by someone who knows something about cameras..

Includes 1 x battery & cable, no charger or memory card....

Looking for $100, price is negotiable & includes postage anywhere in Australia

Hi outcast,
Did you look at the YouTube vids for insight into issue?
Could just be dust in drive mechanism tripping over current in motor circuit.
Can fix it for you but you pay postage both ways.

PS you don't know me so yer nil trust - I already have a Canon g7 so not wanting it but think you or if not you then I should be able to fix it.
