I am always curious to see how we amateurs are keeping track in relation to Orbiter photos of the moon and I know that some people are exceeding Orbiter resolution.
I took this image of Alphonsus the other nite. Nothing special. Seeing was 6/10 and variable and could only manage to get 200 of the best frames with one alignment point in Registax.
Really interesting stuff! See what you think.
p.s. and yes, I did blink in between the 2 images several times to see if there were any changes. Darn! The moon is really dead after all (at least down to objects of 600-800 meters or so - the estimated resolution of my image)
