Eqdir cable

Now my obs is complete I’ve decided to do a bit of automation.
Thought my first step would be to get the mount controlled by the computer eliminating the hand controller.
So I went to Jaycar and grabbed the bits this morning and knocked up the cable.
Pleased to say it works well and can connect with Eqmod now. Have to give it a burl in conjunction with CdC when we get a nice night here.

I might add,

Cost was around 20-25 dollars.
Arduino serial-USB adaptor.
9 pin d plug.
Big USB to little USB cable.

Only need to solder 3 wires to the d connector and arduino board.
Is switchable from 5v or 3v level.
Bit of black tape over led.
