Criterion dynamax 8” sct

I recently acquired a 1980’s 8” dynamax SCT with forks and base ,no tripod or wedge . Optics seem quite good , however corrector plate coatings have deteriorated. The power cord has been cut and pushed into the base . The motors are still there though the wires have been interfered with . Has anyone got any useful information to resurrect the drive or replace it? The slow motion controls and focuser still work.
