Just for a bit of fun I reprocessed some old data on Abell 31 (aka SH2-290, PK219+31.1), a faint planetary nebula in Cancer, for a much better result. Although the nebula is large (around 18' diameter), it is very faint.

Just had a look Geoff and well done.

I can only guess if you doubled or tripled the integration time it would resolve a lot more detail.

Good effort

A charming PN Geoff. Would that be intergalactic dust surrounding the PN across the field in the image?

Thanks Rodney.
It’s possible, but I am not sure.
