I've never imaged a Galaxy before so thought of giving this a go
130mm TS optics Refractor 40 x 300 second subs
Optolong L-Pro
Under some very trying conditions, it was a clear day and what supposedly was a clear night but smoke haze from burnoffs and a gibbous moon made it difficult to get a decent image.

Just a stack and process using Astropixel Processor and then removed the stars using starnett ++ brought out the nebula in Photoshop then reinserted the stars, This is more difficult than nebulas I reckon.

Wow, what is lacking in image scale is more than made up for in the fine detail you have in the dust lanes. Very fine! I must give this a go with my 130.

Thanks Robert, it does need a bit of work but worth the result.
