Hey, great start! Better than my first attempt. I can just make out Red Jr!
What scope are you using?

Thanks for the kind replies, it's an 8inch GSO newt I doubt if i could have got any sort of image but for the articles on imaging on this site which I followed to the letter and the result even surprised me.
Thanks Aprid

Does your newt have tracking or is it a dob?

I sat it on a home made eq platform while its not very steady it managed to hold Jupiter in the frame for 2 minutes luckily it was a very calm windless night, the PCFE software obtained from the download section did the rest by centering the individual frames.
Thanks Aprid
What capture software are you using?
Are you using Registax to stack your frames?
Tell us your full process, from capture to final image. That'll give us a better idea of what you're up to:)

k3ccd to capture Virtualdub to save image sequence PCFE to centre image registax to stack approx 150 of about 800 frames the image had rather a red hue due to the missing IR filter when the lens was removed from the Toucam so into Photoshop to adjust hue saturation, levels, curves a little bit of sharpening to obtain the final image.
BTW what would I need to look for as a replacement IR filter for the toucam ?
Thanks Aprid
Which sliders are you using at the wavelets stage of Registax, and to what extent???
A lot of us are using the Baader UV/IR cut filter for imaging planets.
You could try stacking a few more more frames to achieve a smoother result, but it looks to me more like you could back off the wavelet/unsharp masking a little bit?:)

Aprid, You are supposed to show us a blob with 2 bands for a first shot of Jupiter, not the excellent image you posted.
Very very good work. A+.

First shot! :(
Dang! I'm still trying to get an image that big.
All my Planet work is small and sort of clear. Well done Aprid
