Well I have finally got underway with my AstroTrailer (see this (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=19081) thread). But how to decorate it?

I'd go the glow in the dark stickers, it will look fantastic going down the highway.

Cheers

GT stripes down the sides
with a flaming comet
& a fridge :D
Looks like there's room on top for a air-bed for those long nights

As a precaution, David, it might be wise NOT to write any Astro things on it.

Thieves may see it as a target. Thieves aren't usually interested in a camper trailer, but will be if they think there are expensive Astro goodies in there

David, A couple of coats of blackboard paint and a box of chaulk at every viewing site. Regards Greg.

Actually there is a double bed and a 9ft tent on top! AstroFest, here I come!

I like the idea, but am very cognisant of Ken's sage words. But I do like it, a lot!

David, I'm very much with Ken on this aspect of 'the beast'.

Perhaps you could put on 'radiation' signs - not the anti-war-and-everything-else ones, the proper 'propeller' insignia?

If you are concerned about the business of false advertising then all you need do is locate in your junk box an old luminous dial watch and tuck it in a corner of the trailer.

Seriously, though, I'd leave it as low profile as you can, even taking it to the extent of deliberately making it look like a tatty old camper.

Go the whole hog and get it custom painted with Galaxies,Nebula,Planets and Moons. Make the beast a real Showstopper!!!!!

Duncan:thumbsup:

Guys

Have no fear - this poll was more for fun than a serious plan for astronomic art! Obviously my twisted sense of humour has been lost on some of you!

However, it is too late to make it look old and daggy! It will be plain, but I have painted it up so I won't be embarrassed to tow it behind my car!!

Looking forward to seeing it on Saturday night, Dave.

Do you think an expresso machine is out of the question...beats the thermos full of International Roast...or Nescafe for that matter. Then there is the microwave for heating snacks (with the internal light changed to red of course), the sound system for listening to that astro music (too bad if the rest of the lookout doesn't like Pink Floyd...Meatloaf...AC/DC...)

Yeah, this trailer has potential...

The paint job? Who cares, it's what's inside that matters. The paint job on your other thread looks good enough to me.

maybe it needs an IIS sticker or 2?

Nice idea, but I think it falls into the "advertising the expensive gear inside" category!

Astro-Gloria's....no wait, the greatest astro coffee of them all..."Starbucks"??

Yes, endless universe...endless coffee franchise possibilities

John

You read my mind! Do you prefer a flat white or a cappucino?
