This is a Jupiter image that I took last night/this morning with my 350D. Doesn't come up to webcam standard .... only five frames stacked in Registax v3 and square cropped ... but it was fun to do !
Visually Jupiter was stunning in my neck of the woods during the wee hours of this morning ... my best view ever ... the detail was amazing. I didn't want to stop looking but I had alreay been out for around 10 hours ( 7pm - 5am ) and it was bloody cold .... hence the good seeing.

Well done, Steve.
That's great for 5 frames and DSLR.
There's plenty of detail there.

Cheers Matt ! Eventually I want images like yours. Thinking of getting Meade LPI for guiding and planetary imaging but really want to get my permanent setup, roll off shed, happening and that's a little ways off at the moment .... I need the shed for storage ... damn it. :( Never mind there's plenty of time !

Great for a DSLR, well done! DOn't get the LPI though - get the ToUcam. It's tonnes better.
Steve.
If I may be so bold, can I recommend you consider a ToUcam over the LPI.
There is a world of difference in quality for pretty much the same price.
I'd recommend you purchase the ProIII - also known as the SPC900NC
I'd give you a long-winded explanation why, but can I just say "trust me".:D

I've checked that site out before .... how do you buy stuff off him .... no checkout etc ?
e-mail or phone him.
His payment options and contact details are all on his website.
Otherwise try Astromart.com
ToUcams come up on there quite frequently 2nd-hand:)

Thanks Matt !
A pleasure, Steve.
Get yourself a ToUcam. They're great.
And we'll all be here for you when you need advice on using it etc
