HI all
For a change it was clear in Melbourne last night :eyepop:
I managed to add another 1hr40min to my NGC4945 data from sometime last week for a total of 2hr30min.
Not a long total exposure time, but I'll take what I can get ATM.
Seeing was OK but not as good as last week.
A small low resolution result is attached for this forum.
Higher res full frame at 50% of full size here:

Imaged with a GSO RC14 @2854mm FL and ASI 2600MC OSC camera + EQ8.
200s subs calibrated with flats & darks and processed in APP.
A bit noisy, but I'll hopefully be able to add more data soon.
Hope you like it. Comments welcome.
Cheers

+1 Superb shot. The EQ8 seems to do a real good job at handling the load.

Really top image of this galaxy - the colour detail and balance are outstanding.

A good result for little time. I am continuing to be amazed by how deep these cameras go with so little exposure times. I have 60 minute Ha subs that look like better than 10min CCD subs.

Thanks very much Mike. Very kind words. I was lucky to get reasonable seeing for the shot. You can really tell if the seeing isn't good at nearly 3m focal length.
Thanks Allan.
I bought the ASI2600MC as a Christmas present to myself, and am constantly amazed at how far down the noise floor is on these. Coming from an 8300 based CCD the difference is huge & really shows up in what you can image from skies that aren't great (like in Melbourne).
Thanks Marc. I have had no problems with weight on the EQ8. Its not fancy , but it guides very well. I do have an issue with DEC backlash, but its not a deal-breaker - the work around is quite straight forward.

Thank you Mark. The OSC camera certainly makes it easy to get a colour image. I'm not used to it yet! The star colour calibration system in APP makes correct colour balance way too easy as well.
Thanks very much Bill. Surprised me too...
Cheers Paul.

Thanks Ergio
Thank you Greg. I am finding these new CMOS based cameras great fun to use - seems almost too easy.
Thank you Scott.
