Jupiter captured at 4.12am Easter Sunday morning from Melbourne.
Mirror "chilled" to 0.3 degress below ambient with moments of 7/10 seeing conditions but up and down overall and then deterriorating afterwards. A good shot of GRS junior which seems to me to have grown in size?
Have a safe Easter break everyone.
John.

Further adjustment in brightness and contrast.
Nice work, John.
Those tweaks in brightness and contrast definitely made a difference on my laptop screen.
Glad you got something this morning. I was all set up and ready to go...and then so were the clouds:lol:

Excellent work John, I prefer the 2nd! Nicely done. Clouded out all weekend here so far, but skies appear to be clearing atm.

Thanks guys,
Hi Dave, image defenitely more stable, and more frames to stack. For this image I used 600 frames, so 50% of the frames captured which is very high. So "chilling" defenitely works for me. Overall I think it will mean more frames and more images even in average conditions. Mirror was 0.7 degree below ambient after 5 hrs and had dropped 9 degrees. Only rose 0.4 degrees after cooling was stopped. Just have to now get some consistently good seeing!
Good stuff John, glad the mirror cooling is working for you!
