Two close spiral galaxies in Leo, Messier 65 and 66. 31 and 35 million light years distant in LRGB. I couldn't fit the Hamburger in.
Skywacher 300PDS 12" F5 Newtonian, modified NEQ6 Pro belt mod+ bearings and backlash, ZWO ASI 183mm Pro at -10C, Svbony LRGB filter set, about 3 hours in total. A little on the short side due to cloud so it was a rush job.

But wait, there's more. If you order today you get 5 free steak kni.... I mean asteroids! :P Stacked with Maximum setting in DSS to reveal the asteroid trails, their numbers on them, thanks to a FB friend, Tom Polakis.
South is up in the colour image but was rotated so north is up for the asteroid reveal. Sorry aboot that. I'll standardise one day, I once said never! :P

Thanks Greg. I would like the hamburger next, except cloud.

Excellent shot of these two Kevin, loving the cool details and the sweeping tidal tail/outer spiral arms of M66 too. Your new scope is performing very nicely
The asteroids are a cool sideshow too.

Thanks Mike. I didn't even know M66 had a tidal tail until I processed the images. I know the Hamburger does, but didn't realise M66 did as well. It didn't show on my older images. My DSLR didn't pick it up. ;)

Impressive detail, with seamless integration to the softer outer structures.
Galaxies could be your speciality

Thanks Clive. Comets used to be my specialty, then I got into a planet obsession last year. This year, who knows. ;)

:eyepop: Superb details Kevin. You've resolved stacks of little background galaxies and galaxy clusters in the field as well. I reckon you should keep going with the data integration.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Gee whiz Kevin, you are really churning them out at the moment. You are obviously getting more clear skies than your southern colleagues. Nice work
From my perspective one of the best examples of processing I have ever seen.
Truly a benchmark image, one day...
Very well done Kevin

Would love to keep going Marc, but at this time of year I don't really have the luxury.
The skies are actually pretty bad Rodney. I've been coming up with ways of getting images faster when we do get a break, usually by binning. And today's modern cameras seem pretty quick with a fast Newt.
Thanks Peter!
Thanks Very much Marcus!

Brilliantly done Kevin. NGC 3627 is especially amazing, with its strong and complex detail and faint outer halo. The asteroids add to the fun.

Thanks M&T. I must keep an eye out for asteroids in the future. I don't usually do a maximum stack in DSS. Usually a median kappa Sigma which hides them.
So many galaxies I want in that part of the sky, so little time...
