now that my last project the Ford John Goss special is finished l have now started the '70 HG Monaro, all back to bare metal respray and full restoration.
it will be fitted with a fuel injected 5.0L engine and a full 2006 Monaro interior modified to suit.

Now that brings back memories. Just what my dad bought himself for his 30th birthday. (He was going out to get his tennis racket restrung :rofl: ) As far as the rest of the kids in the street were concerned I had the coolest old man :lol:

Great project Mick.. I should have got something like that but in 1972 I traded my HR panel van for a VeeDub Type3 wagon..(too many kids):screwy:

I remember a friend of mine had one of those back at school... always had a soft spot for the old monaros :) the new ones are just 2 door commondores. my daughter is a complete holden nut tho... :rolleyes:
