Here is IC 1274 in the Sagittarius constellation, I had taken this some time back but was never happy with the final outcome. It is different having a proper monitor with great colour to get the right values. This is my first go at PixInsight and probably could've spent more time tweaking it but with time constraints I've left it where it is. Still a bit of noise but that DSLR's for you.

35 x 300s light
60 odd darks
and bias
All stacked, calibrated and so forth in PI and a bit of colour in PS.

Thanks for looking

Great effort Karl

You have some good data there and you could spend many hours re processing it.

You'd be surprised at the difference.

For PI it is essential to do the tutorials, take notes and practise!

All good fun...

Re darks:
Should be the same exposure settings as the lights, taken right after the lights.
Personally I only ever use 10 and it works for me.

Thanks Peter, I should find my first go at it so yiu can see the difference. The darks are what I had in a file from the night, I always store everything in the one folder, lights and darks. Clear tonight and having another go at the Tarantula nebula with my 8 inch newt, I'm eager to put it through Pi.
