Can anyone point me in the right direction. I want to price up a mirror set 10-16", does anyone know of an Australian supplier, preferably with a website.
Many thanks.........

Tony,

A couple of years ago I built a 12" reflector from bits I bought from Telescopes & Astronomy in Adelaide and plans I found in various websites.

Their website is www.telescopes-astronomy.com.au (http://www.telescopes-astronomy.com.au)

I was lucky enough that I drove to Adelaide regularly and was able to check out the parts and discuss the 'extras' I would need.

Matthew was very helpful and I think the end result is pretty good.

Anyway, I hope this is useful and wish you luck with your project.

Tony - what do you want them for? Are you building a set of binos, or a couple of monoculars with secondaries - hence the term "set"? What's your budget?

Cheers
Chris

Scroll down to the parts section: primary mirrors from 6" to 16" (16's arriving August) plus secondaries to suit, etc, etc.

I think in this case "mirror set" implies primary and secondary Chris...

Sorry i haven't replied to this post for i bit:shrug:
Yes Arthur is correct, 'set' is what we refer to in the UK, as the primary and secondary mirrors for a single scope.
Sorry for any misunderstanding guys.....
