Hi all,
Its been a while since i've been here. Life is pretty hectic but I did a M42 which I haven't done for a while.
I captured the data during one my live telescope streams a couple of weeks ago.
Its a little overcooked but I did that to bring out some of the details.

3 sec x 123
10 sec x 50
30 sec x 60
120 sec x 22
300 sec x 18
185 mins total

Skywatcher 150 mm Newtonian
Canon Eos 450 D (modded)
HEQ5

Captured with Backyard Eos
Guided with PHD3
Stacked with Astro Pixel Processor
Processed with Photoshop

Cheers
Andy

wow, so many different exposures!! It's a little noisy but it's a lovely colour pallette too. Very nice :)

Thanks Adam and Martin,
I tried a heap of all different exposures with the short ones to capture the core without blowing it out.
Out of all the exposure I think I got the best signal to noise was the 2 minute subs. With the 5 mins subs I should wait until the weather cools down a bit.
Its been stretched quite a bit until the banding was coming out so with my old 450D i'm pushing to get 5 min subs without all the noise and artifacts that come with it.
Cheers
Andy
