Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone had any experience using this Funstar product:
https://www.revolutionimager.com/products/funstar-sct-adapter

As someone who has recently purchased a Celestron 9.25" XLT SCT, the concept of using Fastar to get to f/2 is pretty exciting but the cost prohibitive.

This product from Revolution Imager seems to be the same thing..... and costs less than my 6.3 focal reducer.

Is this too good to be true?

Whilst I have had a scope for the last few years, I have only just started delving into AP, and there is a lot of info to sift through - would be keen on anyone's feedback or thoughts on this product.

Cheers.

Seems I found the answer to my question in a Cloudy Nights discussion:

I will do some more reading and would still be interested in any of your thoughts regarding this product, but I am thinking the FunStar is probably not what I want...

Please note: The FunStar does not provide any correction, so some abberations will be present. However, the small chip-size in the Revolution Imager makes these abberations minimal.

This is because it has no lens in it.. It's only an adapter.
