Hi Guys,
I found some old data from my canon unmodded 350D. Since now i have recently purchased a modded 300D, this is probably my last image coming out of the 350D. Never knew i had these data. they were:
5 x 8 mins
5 x 2 mins
10 x 20 sec
11 x 1 mins
all using ISO800. scope taken was from the C-10 f4.7 and autoguided with the Orion ED80 + meade DSI II.
Hope you guys like it but i was amazed how it turned out. :P
Cheers

Interesting effect Eric. A wider field would be nice, I may give those settings a go when the moon goes away, but time is limiting with Orion now.

Great detail and saturation Eric. Can't wait to get my autoguiding setup into gear. Is this the actual image scale as shot or is it a crop ?
Cheers

Nice to see an image of M42 where not all of the stars in the trap are completely washed out. Some intriguing structure captured, Eric. A nice distinctive shot. Thanks for sharing.

Hey Eric,
great 'swan song', aaahhh, would you believe 'swan picie' with the old 350d.
Always great to find old data that you forgot....
This turned out very well with lots to see!
Good to see you did a variety of sub image exposures, the only way to show the trap..
Look forward to your new images with the modded 300D.
All the best

arh i would want to . might do afew small videos on the processing side of things. most importantly i think is learning curves and levels then work on the smaller details. normally takes 1-2 hours to process one image much longer than taking pics of the actual object. here's a link to IP4AP free online tutorial. they are great to start with.
