Good day guys, anyone can recommend a printer or other in the Sydney metro area who can print on clear film at 1200dpi? Thanks.

Making ronchi testers? I have a tester sold by Orion USA that has 80, 100 and 160 lpi on clear plastic sheet. Goes back many years.

VisionGraphics in St.Leonards. I'm using them for my photography business for the last 10-12 years.

Yes.

Thanks for that. Just emailed them.

Hello,

I'd be interested in the ronchi tester slides myself. Assuming that it won't be a great deal of price difference on how many slides you get printed on one sheet, I would be happy to buy a set of slides from you later.

Price dependent etc.

As a quick fix I tried drawing my own in cad and printing. Did not work no matter how fine the print.

But the PDF downloaded from stellafane and printed at home on a hp laser with clear acetate worked fine. Not sure why but the PDF seems optimised for ordinary laser printing. Almost as good as the glass one and bigger.

Got a few print outs from the stellafane pattern. I'll see how it goes. I had to edit it though. On close inspection a handful of black and white lines were slightly wider.

Here's another source (http://www.awrtech.co.uk/miscprod.htm#RONCHI_TEXT). Got a 80lpi + 120lpi for GBP20.00.

I could make a small batch of these, as I have about 10 high quality gratings from Edmunds, if there was interest, but I doubt that I can make them cheap enough. The gratings alone cost over $30 each.

Hi Stefan,

I would be interested in a one off production depending on the print abilities. I haven't read enough to pick a colour yet, but I would want either 2.079 or 2.457 lines per mm. More than likely the 2.079 lpm.

Can I you send me a PM.

thanks
Steve

I'm a bit late to this one, but I've used these good folks

a few times over the years. They're in Melbourne, and mostly do photographic work, but can print on different mediums as well.

Hi Steve,

My gratings are 5 lines per mm. Chromium on glass, 12.3mm x 12.3mm.

Cheers,

Stefan
