I had difficulty capturing this image only 5 of six nights of images were used. So the result is a stack of 68 exposures of 300 seconds each.
Hardware, QHY8l on a Mewlon 210 using a field fllattener, all sitting on a pier mounted Mesu 200.
Software, target location CDC and Nebulosity, focus in nebulosity
Acquisition Nebulosity4`.

frames debayered, preprocessed and stacked (translation And rotation).
Startools as in the quick start guide

Considerable use of nebulosity to tweak the Startools result

Satellite trail removed with Adtroart7

Much room for improvement but as a novice I don't know how, so any constructive criticism would be appreciated .

Chris,

It might be because its early morning
but your image size for posting is ...tiny ?

Perhaps you could resize it to give everyone
an opportunity to view your work ?

Looking forward to it

Paul.

Stunning colours Chris!

You have made a good start and the journey never ends.

Do the tutorials for processing and take notes.

When you download an image to IIS, the server will accept up to about 1Mbyte, then automatically down size it.

The image attached is the original re-scaled by a factor of 2.
The field flattener I use is also a focal reducer X.8, So if I removed it mi picrures would ne that much bigger and if I keep the object in the ventr of the field of view the coma should not be too bad as Crab is not large
Apparent dimensions (V) (https://www.google.com/search?client=ubuntu&hs=BSE&channel=fs&q=crab+nebula+apparent+dimensions+v&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjJveCUsMjuAhUXyzgGHeajBn EQ6BMoADAqegQIMRAC): 420″ × 290″

The flattener might be taken out for next years effort (the frames were gathered at elevation 30 to 33 degrees).
