M82 imaged with another one of the scopes I have fitted in Spain, taken in RGB and Ha, with the 17inch Planewave, L500 mount. Moravian 16803.
All 5min unguided subs. just over four and a half hours each in RGB and nearly 6hours in Ha giving a total of 19 and a half hours. Cropped from the full frame. Seeing was quite poor at the time
Processing in Pixinsight, Photoshop and Lightroom.
Thanks for looking

Great shot Pete  All that Ha spewing out from the galaxy really is amazing huh?
I imagine there must be a fair back-log of data on your hard drives?...;)

Its a stunning galaxy and is actually a pair of galaxies they are just stunning. They both sit in a ton of Integrated Flux Nebula, spectacular in
a wide field.
Its a beautiful galaxy Mike the Ha really ads IMO.....I'm gathering tones of data.....just got to find the time to process it

Thank you
A remarkable and inspiring image Peter, such fine detail.
And imagine if Johann Bode could have a look at how technology allows us such a view.
I'm sure he would have been impressed.

Thanks for all the comments
To be honest I think the same thing...I started back in the 80's with film. Imaging the way we all do today was just unimaginable....incredible how technology has changed.
Thank you
It took a few goes at Deconvolution and some sharpening to get it where I was happy....I try push it as far as I can trying not to over do it...sometimes having to take a step back

That is a lovely rendering. The rich and well balanced colours really make the image in my opinion. Detail is superb.

Echoing what others have said already. :)
I'm an Astrobin judge and have seen many fine renditions of this object and yours certainly sits very comfortably in that company, well done!

Just stunning Peter, you've rendered the Ha beautifully for what you consider to be poor seeing. your preceding image of LBN 471 on this forum is equally impressive also. Excellent work & cs,
Tony
