Is it the old type that will come to focus visually Shawn or is it the newer type that only works photographically?

The f/6.3 model works visually or photographically.

The 'new' one that Xstream is referring to (I think) is the f/3.3 model that is for photography only.

No, Morton I do mean the f/6.3 when they stopped manufacturing them in Japan and were started to be manufactured in China there was an issue with them not being able to reach focus with a 2" diagonal and eyepiece's, It would only reach focus with the 1.25" diagonal. I don't know if this issue has since been dealt with this is why I asked.

Celestron I believe also had the same problem as they are made in the same factory.

I use a 2" diagonal, so guess is a japanese, I didnt know that either BTW, I was under the impression that only affected the 3.3s
