Hi All,
Not as good as the ones posted up here, but this is my first shot at it. Did this in SE Vic 20/01/21 at 12:30am
Like to hear your comments on where I can improve
Capture details:
Date: 20/01/21
Location: Officer, Vic.
EQ wedge & F6.3 Reducer
Celestron Evo 8
Nikon D80
ISO: 1600
Lights: 38 @ 40sec (25min:20sec)
Darks: 30 @ 40sec
Flats: 30
Bias: 30
Post work: DSS & PS

Hi Wayne, as another beginner this looks great to me!
You seem to be starting to get some really nice detail coming out. Mine looks a little blurrier or smeared to me - so good job on the focus and tracking.
I wonder if you stretch the image a bit more if could you get some more wispy detail coming out?

plenty of detail for a relatively short exposure. I wonder whether playing with you back-spacing a bit might yield better shaped starts away from the center. There's bee some optimum distance from your reducer to the camera sensor for the specific 0.63 reducer you''re using.

Thank you all for your comments. I'm pretty happy with the outcome so far.
I'm very new to PS... how does one stretch the image a bit more?
hmmm. That is an awesome tip! I was trying to work out how I could get my stars on the edges to be more rounder.
Current I have just the reducer, standard T-adaptor with the SLR T-ring. I do have some spacers (5, 10 & 20mm) that I can use. I will give the 5mm spacer a shot first and see what happens :thumbsup:
