Last night's effort in good seeing. I started on the pencil nebula but it proved too faint with the moon still up and compounding LP so offset the fov to an area I mosaiced in 2013 with the hyperstar and knew was brighter. Not sure of the name of this neb.

I'd like to double the integration time this coming week-end after the rain if the heat is not too troublesome. We're expecting two days of 41c in western Sydney.

Lovely. I suspect in colour it may well surprise and delight in due course.

Thanks Chris. Yep. Not looking forward to it.

Thanks mate. I don't have it handy but it's right next to the pencil pointing to it. Here's a wider field. (https://onedrive.live.com/?authkey=%21ACnUIS%5FstUVCu%2Ds&cid=6930D3AD12D5044C&id=6930D3AD12D5044C%211334&parId=6930D3AD12D5044C%211153&o=OneUp)

Thanks Peter. I agree. It must look great in color but that would be one for very dark skies. Maybe a trip to Wiruna.

Just love that wide field of the Pencil pointing at the sand-worm. That's superb.
