View Full Version here: : The Sun in Ca K and Ha 08102021
Today’s session was a mix of fine weather for a change and persistent gremlins in the connecting cables. From my observations I noted that many of the interesting Solar features that I had been following over the last few weeks on this forum had settled down or rotated out of view. I did however manage to get in a few images of what the Sun had to offer in Ca K and Ha.

Gerard,
Some wonderful images, I’m impressed!!
Capturing a CaK prom is not the easiest of subjects.
Keep up the great work, well done!!

Nice images Gerard - is the date on the title correct? Cheers, JW.
Thanks for your kind comments guys. They are much appreciated.
All Ca K images were taken through an Orion 80mm refractor in conjunction with a Lunt B600 K line filter with occasional use from a Teleview 2.5x Powermate.
Yes the date on the title is a typo. Sorry about that. An October date for these images is premature.
